Some Forest fans will blame the ref for this one, but the Reds’ were the architects of their own downfall. Sloppy defending cost us two goals (and it would have been more if not for Brice Samba), and Hull’s excellent wingers Grosicki and Bowen showed up their red-shirted counterparts, who did not do enough in attack or defence.

The late onslaught was fairly predictable, but poor team play meant a lack of drive and a poor final ball - Forest simply did not do enough to threaten Hull, despite the visitors being reduced to ten men.
