Sloppy defending cost us two goals, and Hull’s excellent wingers showed up their red-shirted counterparts. A dominant performance from the Reds after two early goals from Lolley and Grabban, and a wonderful moment as skipper Michael Dawson scored his first Reds goal in fifteen years. In truth, the Reds could have scored twice as many, with Sow, Ameobi and Grabban all guilty of missing when it looked easier to score. Sabri Lamouchi again showed his ability to pick a team for the occasion, and to use his substitutions well.
